Happy Chinese New Year 2021! This year is the Year of the Ox
Chinese New Year of 2021 falls on 12th February which is Friday.

But we can’t celebrate Chinese New Year in public due to the covid pandemic. Malaysia is under MCO at the moment. That means we can’t “balik kampung”. Everyone has been impacted by it in some way. For those who can’t travel back to their hometowns will be staying back in KL for the festival.

For Chinese, we normally will have family reunion dinners one day before Chinese New Year. This year, there will be a limit of 15 family members living within a 10 kilometer radius allowed for the reunion dinners. Nothing can stop us from celebrating this festival. We can still decorate our house by hanging up those red lanterns and ang pau fish.
